Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Additional File 2 Pollen tube migration within an ovule. Time-lapse images showing a GFP-tagged tube entering and navigating within the ovule. The growth rate of the pollen tube decreases substantially before and soon after entry. Within the ovule, pollen tube ceases growth presumably in one of the synergids and tube discharge occurs, leaving a visible GFP spot.
