Considering the copyright date is 1913 this piece is slightly ahead of its time as an early jazz score. The cover subtitle is "Tennessee Blues" and "Tango", the latter probably a marketing ploy. But whatever you want to call it, rag, blues, novelty, etc. the main impression is jazzy. The composer is hard to trace, Musescore researcher Erlingl did find a reference to a Miss Aneta Stone who gave a concert in Kansas in 1914 billed as "the Wonder of the Little Ivories" and "without a doubt the ‘raggedest ragtime artist’ ever heard.” This score was published by Popular Music Co. in New York in 1913.
