Deutsch: Informationstafel am Diemerhaus in Oberammergau
This is a photograph of an architectural monument.
It is on the list of cultural monuments of Bayern, no. D-1-80-125-32.

   Prof. Michael Zeno Diemer (1867 - 1939)
       wohnte hier von 1924 bis zum Tod.
    Das Haus hat er selbst entworfen und bemalt.
Berühmt wurde der Landschafts- und Flottenmaler
mit Schlachten-Panoramen und Kolossalgemälden.
 Sein Talent als Komponist und Dichter stellte er
   mit dem „Sternlied“, einem Singspiel über
       Alt-Oberammergau, unter Beweis.
  1938 wird er Ehrenbürger von Oberammergau.
      Sein Großvater Michael Diemer hat die
   Gemeinde mit einem Straßennamen geehrt.
