Description
English: Close-up of the ASRock TRX50 WS. Unfortunately, the workstation mainboard did not quite fit into the photo box, so the lighting is not ideal, but you can see a lot. The motherboard developed for AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 series processors is an E-ATX motherboard with 4 DDR5 RAM slots, an 18+3+3 current phase design, 3 PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, 2 PCIe 4.0 x16 slots, Realtek ALC1220 7.1 CH HD Audio, Nahimic Audio, 4 SATA3, 1 Blazing M.2 (PCIe Gen5 x4), 1 Hyper M.2 (PCIe Gen4 x4), 1 MCIO (PCIe Gen5 x4), 2 SlimSAS (PCIe Gen4 x4 / 4 SATA3), 1 USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C (rear), 2 USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C (1 rear, 1 front), 4 USB 3. 2 Gen2 Type-A (rear), 4 USB 3.2 Gen1 (2 rear, 2 front), 4 USB 2.0 (front), Marvell 10 GbE LAN, Realtek 2.5 Gigabit LAN, 802.11ax WiFi 6E + Bluetooth and more. The 10 Gigabit connection is suitable for very fast connections to home network storage, for example. There are also 20K black capacitors on the CPU socket and 4 fans on the mainboard. SlimSAS (SFF-8654) and MCIO connections are also available, which are intended for data carriers. Drivers can be installed automatically, there is a button for a BIOS flashback and to clear the CMOS and a pre-installed IO shield. There is also a seven-segment display on the mainboard itself that outputs error codes. These help to solve problems if there are difficulties booting up etc. The mainboard costs around €800 (as of 04.2024). Compatibility with RAM must be checked beforehand. The chipset is the AMD TRX50 with an AMD sTR5 socket. Like the CPUs of the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 series, the motherboard supports a maximum of 1 TiB RDIMM RAM with ECC (e.g. as RDIMM-3DS). Dimensions: 305 mm×267 mm. BIOS: 32 MB. RAIDs: 0/1/10. As the CPU does not have a graphics unit, there are no graphics connections on the I/O panel. The mainboard weighs several kilograms. Here you can see the mainboard power connection.
