Summary
[edit]DescriptionDesert Pavement in Southern Nye County, Nevada.webm |
English: This shows what a well developed desert pavement looks like. It's in southern Nye County in Nevada, the United States. I provide the lat/lon in the opening frames in decimal to make it easier for a student to enter it into their browser. For degrees, minutes, it's close to 36°31.98500', -116°07.71333'. But you can see stands like this anywhere along HWY 160 from I-95 before you get to Crystal Road. This is about ten miles from Pahrump, Nevada. At times I freeze the footage since I originally panned too quickly. This lets people study a shot before moving on. |
