R.P. Hunt Esteemed Friend
Thine of the 13th is at hand by which we observed that thee has bot. 1000 bus New Wheat @ 6/ which we are pleased to hear & wish (if the wheat is good & dry) to have all that thee can purchase at that price – not having seen any of the new wheat can’t Judge so well but from what we can learn respecting the Quality we suppose some of it to be shrunk & some of it got in in a rainy time & perhaps very damp thee can Judge best about it – if it is dry enough to Grind & pretty fair quality, buy all thee can We are willing to Receive what thee has bot. as soon as thee can send it we suppose there are plenty boats now to be had belonging to the Erie Line – We are very Respectfully
