Description
English:
Ruins of the Golden Mary Chapel. Built in mid 14th century replaced a former early? 13th century chapel. Here is William of Koppenbach grave who established Pécs Medieval University AND Nicholas Neszmélyi de Poroszló grave who ordered to built this Mary Chapel - Dóm Square, Belváros (Inner City) neighborhood, Pécs, Baranya County, Hungary.

Aranyos Mária-kápolna romjai. 14. század közepén sírhelynek épült egy 13. század (elején?) épült kápolna helyén, Bergzaberni Vilmos püspök 1361–1374 sírhelye aki az egytemet alapította, ÉS Poroszlói Neszmélyi Miklós püspök 1346-1360 sírhelye aki a kápolnát építette. 16. század közepén még állt (archeologia.hu). Az egykori Püspökvár területén volt, a képen balra a Pécsi vár, várfal egyik megmeradt szakasza. Jobbra a Szent Péter- és Szent Pál-székesegyház. Hátul a Pécsi középkori egyetem (Studium Generale) tetőrészlete - Baranya megye, Pécs, Belváros, Dóm tér
