[edit]DescriptionCollective Imagination + Radical Futures.webm |
English: Kansas City-based artist Hope-Lian Vinson moderates a conversation about the role of artists in radical organizing. Working at the intersections of art and community organizing, panelists Patricia Bordallo-Dibildox, Nasir Anthony Montalvo, and Chad Onianwa share their critical perspectives on solidarity practices, building local power, and using art as a tool for collective imagination. Panelists discuss the depoliticization of “the arts” and challenge its narrow frameworks by expanding our definitions of artistic practice through a community-centric lens.
