Description
English:

Preserved biological specimen on paper.

Preserved Specimen On A3 Paper With A Printed Label Identifying It In The Bottom Right Corner. The Paper Is Mounted On A Larger Cardboard And Covered With Plastic Which Is Sealed To The Board. There Are Five Samples On The Page. Three Are Individual, Very Long Leaves. The Last Sample Is A Main Stem Which Has Been Removed From The Rest Of The Plant. It Has Three Off Shoots Which Are Short And Terminate In A Flower. A Single Flower And Leaf Also Extend Where The Off Shoots Do. The Top Half Of The Stem Does Not Have Any Off Shoots Or Leaves, Just Flowers. The Top Of The Stem Terminates In A Flower Blossom. The Last Sample Is An Individual Flower Blossom With Nothing Else Attached. There Are Three Colored Drawings On The Page Detailing The Purple Flowers And The Size Of The Petals. One Of The Drawings Of The Petals Is Magnified By Six. The Drawings Were Done By Elsie May Kittredge In 1927.
