English: One of the oldest zoos in the U.S., the Chicago Lincoln Park Zoo, is celebrating a big milestone: its 150th anniversary. The zoo opened in 1868 with just two pairs of swans. It has a considerably larger collection today, but its priorities have not changed that much. As Roman Verkhovsky reports, the zoo remains focused on conservation: preserving rare species; organizing educational programs and setting an example for future generations of animal lovers.
