Highsmith; 2009; (DLC/PP-2010:031).; Daniel Chester French (1850-1931) was the sculptor of the statue of Abraham Lincoln in the Memorial in Washington, D.C. The studio has a standard-gauge railroad track used to roll large sculpture outdoors for viewing in natural light. The museum holds what is probably the largest single collection of work by any American sculptor.; Forms part of: Carol M. Highsmith's America Project in the Carol M. Highsmith Archive.; Title, date, and subjects provided by the photographer.
