Finishing 01:28:05 End / License / Credit AboutChaos&Evolution is an open DVD tutorial about digital painting I created in 2010, produced and published by the Blender Foundation. Three years after the original publishing, I publish this 'remixed' and 1h30 free version on Youtube with some cuts, merging of videos and minor changes : the original project contains more videos ( ex : full timelapses , model sheet , note about shortcut and installation ). I kept mostly the theorical part , a bit outdated compared to my actual skill , but ideal if you start digital painting. Software / ToolYou can follow this courses with any software ; Gimp / Mypaint / Krita / SAI / Photoshop / etc... This lessons were not made about the features , but about the process and steps. In the video I used Gimp 2.6 ( a fork more precisely , Gimp-painter 2.6 ). Nowadays while I'm posting this video, I use Krita and Mypaint to paint. I use Gimp for color adjustment at the end. All video editing/capturing was done in 2010 with Kdenlive and Ffmpeg. Real DVDYou can still purchase the DVD version on the Blender e-shop ; - I think less than 100 copy exist now after over 2000 item sold ; it can be a good idea if you want to have the 'real' object as a collector, or show your support to the Blender Foundation. Money will be invested into Blender project, and open movies. Link : https://blender3d.org/e-shop/product_info_n.php?products_id=122 What the DVD has more ? Not that much, but still a bit : the DVD contains all full uncut artwork timelapse , about more than 10h ( non-commented , accelerated x2 only ) of video material. Videos are 1400x900px , ogg. All high-res artworks are on it + WIP steps. Brushes. And a bonus chapter about model-sheet is on. Thanks if you consider purchase it for your collection ; but again don't expect to find more substantial thing than on this 1h30 remix video. Also, thanks for all the one who already purchased it, especially the one who participated to the presale in 2010 ; that was an important step to crowdfund the release and print it. License |
