English: Aerial view of the former World War II Camp Cable site near Logan Village, Queensland, Australia, prior to the Yarrabilba development begun in 2011. A boundary overlay encloses the main area occupied by the Camp from 1942-1945.
Purpose: a record of extant site features prior to the Yarrabilba urban development for historical investigation such as regression of period maps. Many of the tracks visible in this aerial capture appear to have survived, at or close to their war time locations, during the timber operations on the site post 1945. Datum: WGS84 (EPSG:4326) North: -27.75237500° South: -27.88762177° East: 153.16540565° West: 153.07459758° Extent: approx. 9km NS, 14km EW Note: For the Geocoding/Overlay (i.e. Opening this image in Google Earth) the image-overlay is reduced to a height of 4096 pixels. Cropping may occur if the Max Texture Size in Google Earth is less than 4096 (check About Google Earth under Help). |
