Description
English: Basilica of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross,int., Kežmarok
Slovenčina: Bazilika minor sv. Kríža - interiér, Kežmarok. Oltár Apoštolov z r. 1470-1480 je umiestnený v čele severnej lode. Prostredný obraz ( rozm. 149x109 cm) zobrazuje Krista - Salvátora so zemeguľou pri nohách, po jeho pravici stojí sv. Peter s kľúčom v ruke a po ľavici sv. Pavol s mečom. Na bočných oltárnych krídlach sú vždy trojice apoštolov: sv. Ján Evanjelista, sv. Júda Tadeáš, sv. Filip; sv. Matej, sv. Jakub ml., sv. Jakub st.; sv. Ondrej, sv. Tomáš, sv. Bartolomej; sv. Peregrínus, apoštol s atypickým atribútom, a sv. Matúš. Tabule majú zlátené brokátové pozadie. Obrazy na zadnej strane bočných krídel nepoznáme, keďže tabule sú pevne osadené do neogotickej oltárnej architektúry z r. 1879. Pred kamennou gotickou menzou je antependium z 1. pol. 18. stor., predstavujúce reliéfne výjavy zo života sv. Antona Pustovníka, lemované akantovou ornamentikou. [1]
