Notes | Binding very worn. Wooden boards covered with stamped leather. The stamps are square; in the outer row, a fleur de lys in a lozenge, small fleur de lys in the angles; second row, a Holy Lamb within a circle; third row, a pelican in his piety; in the centre two rows of ten small fleurs de lys. On f. 2 is an owner's name, Barthelemy Boutey, and the stamp of "Collegium Ludovici Magni" (formerly called Collège de Clermont), the Jesuit College at Paris; probably no. 419 of the sale-catalogue of 1764. Remnants of two clasps catching on to the lower cover. | |||
