Bödelssvärd
Nyckelord: Föremålsbild, Svärd
Description
Svenska: Fäste av mörktonat (urspr. blånerat ?) stål. Åttsidig, rundad knapp med relativt stor nitknapp, åttsidiga, raka parerstänger, avsmalnande mot krysset, som är slätt och med konvexa långsidor.
Kavel lindad med tvinnad tunn ståltråd.
Klinga, tvåeggad, med mjukt avtrubbad spets, på starka delens båda sidor en bred flack hålkäl, vari punsat på var sida, och upprepat på den ena sidan: "IOHAN HAPPE ME FECIT", på den andra sidan: "IOHAN HAPPE SOLINGEN". I klingbasens båda sidor inslaget stämpel, en vildman stödjande sig mot en stav. Ovanför hålkälen inlagt i koppar symboler för avrättning (Peinliches Gericht), på ena sidan hjul, på den andra galge.
Johannes Hoppe eller Happe, Hoappe, Happie, verksam från ca 1620 till ca 1640 i Solingen, senare även i England.
