Description
English: Auster 5J/1 Autocrat high-winged three seated light aircraft, manufactured in 1946 by Auster Aircraft Ltd., imaged here at Weston Aerodrome, Leixlip, Co. Kildare, Ireland. It belonged at that time to the Leinster Aero Club and shows members Niall O'Siochain (treasurer), Harry Wright and Don Murtagh. The following year they undertook a flight in the Auster to Le Touquet, Paris (via Lulsgate, Bristol, Lympne, Lille, Rotterdam and back).
