Description
ANDRÉ DELATTE (1887 - 1953). Small Art Deco vase, ca. 1920. In hand-painted glass with enamel and decorated with relief borders. Signed DELATTE / NANCY. Measurements: 7,5 x 5 x 5 cm. André Delatte opens his glassworks in Nancy, the heart of modernist glass in France, where there were also factories Gallé and Daum. Although his production began in the shadow of the great glassmakers of the time, it was in the twenties when his style was adapted to Art Deco and reached a high quality and originality. In fact, he was one of the first glassmakers to make pieces in the new style, which already permeates his designs in the early date of 1925.
Date created before 1954
