Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Freight hauling on Amtrak's train number 4, the eastbound "Southwest Chief," recalls both the by-gone eras of Amtrak's freight business and the historic Santa Fe semaphore signals in Watrous, New Mexico. Amtrak's Superliner bi-level passenger cars were followed by express-freight boxcars, ExpressTrak refrigerator cars and RoadRailer vans. The upper-quadrant semaphore signals were replaced with standard tri-light signals during the summer of 2015.
