"New York June 6th 1853
R.P. Hunt Esq
Dear Sir
We have sold all the Sheetings say up to 349 and Almy P & Co of Boston had transfered to us the balance – We shall therefore give you in a day or two the whole account from here and hope you will have yours ready that the whole business may be settled Please send us yours –We have written you that we shall be willing to take 3000$ if you get enough stock taken to put the Mill in order to compete with others in a close time – We do not care particularly for capital, but we want the Mill in complete order and paid for – Mr Whitman cannot go up but recommends a man to go when you think best – when you ascertain how this is please let us know
