Summary
[edit]DescriptionAlligator Point Traffic Signal East End June 2022.jpg |
English: In September 2016, Hurricane Hermine washed out a portion of County Road 370 on Alligator Point in Franklin County, Florida, forcing traffic to be redirected onto local roads. Continuing erosion resulted in a further portion of County Road 370 narrowing to only be safe for one lane of traffic; starting in March 2017 temporary traffic signals were erected to allow only one direction of traffic to proceed at a time. The passage of Hurricane Michael in October 2018 caused further destruction of the roadway; by June 2022 reconstruction was in progress but these signals were still in place. This is the signal at the eastern end of the one-lane segment, on Alligator Drive. Compare 2019 image from same location File:Alligator Point Traffic Signal East End.jpg. |
