Summary
[edit]DescriptionAlberto 2018-05-26 Aqua.jpg |
English: By May 28, Alberto had made its way across the Gulf of Mexico to make landfall near Laguna Beach, Florida. The system had reached maximum sustained winds of about 65 mph (100 km/h) on May 27 and were only slightly decreased by landfall. Once the storm’s center crossed land, it quickly weakened. On May 29 the National Hurricane Center (NHC) posted their last advisory on the system and reported that Alberto had become a subtropical depression. It was moving to the north-northwest and producing gusts as high as 40 mph (64 km/h). The system was expected to continue to bring rain to a large swath of the central United States throughout the week. |
