A tour to the Hebrides
Description
English: A companion print to BMSat 7030. Johnson, as a bear with a human head (a profile portrait), walks (left to right) up a mountain. Boswell as an ape with a quasi-human head is seated on the bear's back facing the tail, which he holds up, beckoning with his right hand to two bare-legged men in Highland dress who are climbing up the mountain behind Johnson. In the foreground are thistles. Beneath the title is engraved 'Bossy Bounce preparing for the Scotch Professors to Kiss'. 19 April 1786
