"Wearing Ottoman-style clothing and coquettishly twirling a lock of their hair, they possibly represent "the beautiful Turk," a conventional figure in Persian love poetry whose physical allure and fickleness cause heartache. The poetry in the surrounding frames is by Hafez." [1]
