Summary

[edit]
Description
English: ISP1 early bud rings in oryzalin treated Toxoplasma. Parasites stably expressing ISP1-HA were allowed to infect HFFs in the presence of 0.5 µM oryzalin and grow 30 hours before fixation and IFA analysis. Serial sections were acquired, deconvolved and projected as a three-dimensional image. In the absence of cortical microtubules, a single mother parasite repeatedly fails to undergo productive replication. Numerous ISP1-labeled rings (red) are found clustered in the center of the cell. IMC1, shown in green, does not co-localize with these structures. Red: anti-HA antibody detected by Alexa594-anti-rabbit IgG. Green: anti-IMC1 antibody detected by Alexa488-anti-mouse IgG.
