Description
Nederlands: Zaterdag 8 september is €700,- opgehaald voor Stichting Alshetjeraakt tijdens de Biesbosch Open Water Race 2018. Na de constatering van de slopende ziekte ALS bij een van de leden van de Biesboschzwemmers is besloten 2 onderdelen om te dopen naar een sponsoractie voor het goede doel.Tevens werden er collectebussen geplaatst en heeft de organisatie het bedrag aangevuld.

Namens de Werkendamse vereniging kwamen 11 zwemmers aan de start van het wedstrijdprogramma. Drie zwemmers mochten naar het podium komen. Het bleef de hele dag droog en dat was heel wat beter dan een jaar terug. In water van 18 graden wisten Ingmar Visser, Anne Lisman en Lars de Kooter zich in de prijzen te zwemmen.

De organisatie kijkt terug op een geslaagde dag en laat weten volgend jaar weer een wedstrijd op dezelfde locatie te organiseren.
