PAF NEWS - PAF BLESSES FIVE NEW BLACK HAWK HELICOPTERS AT CLARK AIR BASE

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Philippine Air Force (PAF) held a Blessing Ceremony for five newly acquired S-70i Black Hawk Jelicopters on December 17, 2024, at Haribon Hangar, Clark Air Base, Pampanga. The Event was presided over by MGEN RAMIL G OLOROSO PAF, Commander of the Air Mobility Command.

These Helicopters, delivered on December 9, 2024, are part of the 32 units of S-70i Black Hawk Helicopters acquired through a Direct Contract with Poland’s PZL Mielec under the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Modernization Program. The first Batch of five Helicopters arrived on June 10, 2024. Both the first and second Batches underwent rigorous Technical Inspection and Acceptance (TIA) Procedures conducted by the Department of National Defense (DND), AFP, and PAF to ensure all units meet the required Standards and Specifications.

With the addition of these versatile Helicopters, the PAF is poised to further elevate its Operational Capabilities, providing Critical Support for Humanitarian Assistance, Disaster Response, and other Missions essential to National Security and Development.

MGEN OLOROSO and COL GILBERTO T ESTEBAN JR PAF, Deputy Wing Commander of the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing, ceremonially pour Champagne on one of the five newly delivered S-70i Black Hawk Helicopters during the Blessing Ceremony at Clark Air Base, Pampanga.
