Description
English: Conversions from parallel to serial and back are sketched, for a unidirectional link. The functions of MUX and DEMUX are identified, as well as the different clock rates. The CDR at the end of the serial link is emphasised, as it is the best example of the need of Clock Recovery (although others could be pointed out).
