Description
English: 1979 AMC AMX, a sports compact built by American Motors. This car has AMC's V8 and the optional automatic transmission shift on full center console with rally gauges. Finished in Classic Black with flat black fender flares and front air dam (only on models with black paint), as well as the factory standard 14x7 Turbocast II alloy wheels and rear spoiler (the lift back can only be released from the glovebox pushbutton for the electric latch). This car also has the optional hood decal, as well as dealer accessory rear window louvers. This is the one production year for the "AMX" version with the 304 cu in (5.0 L) V8 using the AMC Spirit platform. The interior has the standard upholstery in black, but an aftermarket: radio, remote amplifier controls, door speakers, and shifter handle. Photograph taken during the American Motors Owners Association (AMO) annual convention that was held July 2015 near Cleveland, Ohio.
