Description
English: Audio file with series of piano notes representing respective annual global average temperatures beginning in 1850, used to portray global warming. Lower pitches correspond to lower temperatures, and higher pitches correspond to higher temperatures. Data source: Berkeley Earth (1850-2018).

The general idea for this sound file is based on the cello performance of undergraduate student Daniel Crawford, "Song of Our Warming Planet" (covering 1880- ) (video on Vimeo), and discussed in:

Crawford's audio is not licensed for commercial use (only CC non-commercial), so it could not be uploaded to Commons.
