The task force was established to respond to the effects of Hurricane Lane on the State of Hawaii. . . Local authorities and the State of Hawaii, through JTF 5-0, requested HH-60M Black Hawk helicopters with hoist capability to assist local authorities with recovery operations on the Isle of Hawaii.. .
