Description
English: Pedestrian walkway off the west side of Amboy Road leading to the St. George-bound platform of the Pleasant Plains Staten Island Railway station in the Pleasant Plains section of Staten Island, New York City. The maintenance-of-way dead end street running parallel to the walkway is across from the intersection with Penton Street, and contained some SIR Maintenance trucks behind the chain-linked fence. Much of the southern SIR Main Line along the St. George-bound tracks was closed for repairs that day, so trains were going in both directions along the Tottenville-bound tracks on that part of the island.
