Summary

[edit]
Description

Total solar eclipse on 2006.03.29 over Mt. Elbrus, shot from Kislovodsk Solar Station, Northern Caucasia.

There was rather cloudy before the eclipse, but in 1–2 minutes before the totality, the clouds quickly dissolved because the ascending air over hills, which supported their existence, had ceased.

The main shots were made by Mikhail Lisakov, which I combined in this composite, having added a more detailed frame of the corona by Eugeny Kazakov.
