Description
中文（臺灣）：這批相片為台灣新生報記者於1979年7月14日拍攝，主題為最後一班光華號列車由臺北車站開往屏東。

1966年10月31日為恭祝總統蔣中正80歲華誕，臺灣鐵路管理局以世界銀行貸款購買的DR2700型柴油客車開行光華號。這款車輛採不鏽鋼車體，重量更輕，且搭配強大馬力的引擎，時速可達110公里，行駛臺北－高雄之間半直達特快車可於4小時40分完成，是鐵路電氣化前臺灣陸上最快的交通工具。

1979年7月2日縱貫鐵路電氣化全線通車，此時臺鐵由於中山高速公路通車流失大量乘客，期望更快速且內裝更為豪華、有冷氣的自強號電聯車能爭取乘客，同月15日起時刻表改點，自強號取代光華號，相片中的列車因此成為最後一班光華號。

DR2700型列車之後改以柴油對號特快車或其他名義行駛於臺灣各地。隨著鐵路電氣化擴展、新型列車的引進，該型列車於停駛前主要運行於臺東線，直到2014年7月15日花東鐵路電氣化通車後停駛。
