Русский: На видео показано действие этанола на инфузорию Paramecium bursaria. Сначала происходит выстреливание трихоцистов (тонких палочек, которые являются защитными органеллами для отпугивания хищников). Трихоциста состоит из сетей белковых нитей, которые при выстреле растягиваются в несколько раз. После этого происходит разрушение клетки.
English: The video shows the effect of ethanol on Paramecium bursaria ciliate. First, there is a shooting of trichocysts (thin sticks that are protective organelles to repel predators). The trichocyst consists of a network of protein strands that stretch several times when fired. After this, the cell is destroyed.
