Русский: Отряд коловраток Bdelloida насчитывает около 300 видов. Бделлоидные коловратки очень распространены в пресноводных водоемах и мхах, влажном грунте. Питаются в основном бактериями и одноклеточными водорослями. При неблагоприятных условиях способны длительное время находится в состоянии ангидробиоза. Благодаря способности включать в свою ДНК гены съеденных организмов бделлоидные коловратки миллионы лет обходятся без самцов. Все особи являются самками, размножающимися партеногенезом.
