Українська: Cyclidium - рід дрібних інфузорій (15- 30 мікрон) овоидной форми. Зазвичай мають 10 війкових рядів. Є довга хвостова вія, яка прикріплюється до заднього кінця тіла. На краю ротового отвору є мембрана, яка утворює широку кишеню. Довжина ротового отвору займає більше половини довжини тіла. Харчуються бактеріями, під час харчування залишаються нерухомими з відстовбурченими віями і мембранним кишенею. Поширені в прибережних зонах озер і річок, забруднених органічним матеріалом.
English: Cyclidium is a genus of small ciliates (15-30 microns) of ovoid form. They usually have 10 rows of cilia. There is a long tail cilium that attaches to the posterior end of the body. At the edge of the mouth opening there is a membrane that forms a wide pocket. The length of the mouth opening is more than half the length of the body. They feed on bacteria, during feeding they remain motionless with protruding cilia and a beating membrane pocket. Distributed in the coastal zones of lakes and rivers polluted with organic material.
