Bertha Stanfield (1890-1926) was from Kansas and composed three good rags, including this nice folk rag. She composed several other pieces, including the patriotic march "America's Pinch Hit March" in 1919 as Bertha Stanfield Dempsey. She died at age 36 of tuberculosis. This rag was published by Bertha Stanfield in Baxter Springs, Kansas in 1912. Many thanks to Mitchy for finding and sharing this rare score.
