two File:Cananea.jpg s

There are two files named Cananea.jpg. One shows a street scene and the other is an image from the 1906 miners' strike. I tried to put the latter on the en:Sonora article but the former shows up. Anyone know how to fix this?--Thelmadatter (talk) 16:55, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

Ask to an en administrator to change the name of en:File:Cananea.jpg or, better idea, if this is really a PD file, upload it on commons under a different name, and ask the deletion on en. Ju gatsu mikka (^o^) appelez moi Ju (^o^) 18:10, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
I'm an admin at en-Wiki. I've moved the file to en:File:Cananea2.jpg, so it should now prove possible to use it on en-wiki. Mjroots (talk) 08:22, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
And having done that I discover that it's been transferred to Commons at File:street leading towards Cananea.jpg. so I deleted it from en-wiki. Mjroots (talk) 08:27, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Geograph

Geograph redirects to the category for photographs from the Geograph British Isles project. However, there are two other projects, Geograph Channel Isles and Geograph Germany. Should photographs uploaded from these two sites be given their own country specific categories? If this is done, then Category:Geograph images should be recreated as a head category. Administrator alert: Threatening behaviour by User

On [1] user User:SouthSudan demonstrated threatening behaviour. I expect this to be seen to by an administrator. I expect an at least mild, but consequential response, meaning an ban for a period of days not hours. I see myself not whatsoever in a position to continue my participation with the project if such behaviour is remotely tolerated. Best regards. OAlexander (talk) 12:57, 24 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi OAlexander, the appropriate place for complaints requiring intervention of an admin would be COM:AN/U. Also it would help to provide some links about the background of your conflict. While the threat by SouthSudan looks indeed inacceptable, the section header "Flag" doesn't disclose to which file/flag this refers. --Túrelio (talk) 13:40, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
I had a look at Special:Contributions/SouthSudan. SouthSudan (talk · contribs), with 4 edits wikimedia-wide, is overwritting SVG images as can be seen on File:Flag_of_Denmark.svg#filehistory for example. I agree with Túrelio that such a tone is not desired here. Thanks. --Marco Aurelio (disputatio) 13:44, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
I've warned User:SouthSudan. --Túrelio (talk) 13:51, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
I have since forwarded the matter to COM:AN/U as suggested. I don't know any other background but the threatening message - neither do I care to investigate. I may wish to Inform the valued colleague Túrelio that a return "warning" is unsatisfactory for my purposes. I will not get threatened. Thanks to all colleagues very much for their contributions.
