Every individual file?
[edit]Hello @ZLEA: , do I have to list every individual file I've uploaded using the special UploadWizard? --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 23:10, 1 November 2019 (UTC)
- Donald Trung Yes, that is how we keep track of which user uploaded the image and how many points it is worth when it is scored. - ZLEA T\C 12:34, 2 November 2019 (UTC)
- @ZLEA: Not a mighty fine way of keeping track of what, it would be better if the special UploadWizard would be able to discriminate between Wikimedia SUL accounts and automatically add a category with "((USERNAME))" or something. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 19:06, 2 November 2019 (UTC)
Also, for whatever reason I don't seem to get the numbering correctly, I've added the file name, then the "https://www.banknotes.com/ussc.htm" Spamlink (an apocalyptic amount of these spamlinks), and then I added all the parameters, the template can't read multiple images, but the list can't read multiple templates. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 19:31, 2 November 2019 (UTC)
On an unrelated note the special MediaWiki Upload Wizard 🧙♂️ says that the United States banknote contest of 2019 has ended when you attempt to upload any images to it, you loaded the wrong page, so please fix it before the other participating users might accidentally get confused by it. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 20:49, 2 November 2019 (UTC)
- Donald Trung The "Images imported to Commons" section is intended for images that have been uploaded to other Wikimedia wikis and imported to Commons from that wiki. The images you "imported" from www.banknotes.com belong under "Images uploaded to Commons".
- I've fixed the Upload Wizard. Now it will display the correct banner (at least until 2020). - ZLEA T\C 22:59, 3 November 2019 (UTC)
- @ZLEA: , my bad, I assumed that "import" meant from an external source as it would seem odd that public domain images would be uploaded to other Wikimedia websites and that scans made by oneself had their own category. It actually would make more sense to put a URL to an external website like Banknotes.com, Banknote.ws, auctions.stacksbowers.com, Etc. For verification than another Wikimedia website as simply adding "en:" Or "vn:" Would be enough to link to the source page. My bad, I should've read the template instructions better before manually adding them. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 23:23, 3 November 2019 (UTC)
- I will try to find an alternative to the current worklist later this week. - ZLEA T\C 23:19, 3 November 2019 (UTC)
- Yeah, it seems kinda tedious as it requires more work than the uploads itself, in some cases at least. Anyhow, I still believe that the MediaWiki Upload Wizard should detect the uploader and that every file uploaded by one Wikimedia SUL account will be placed in an automatically created sub-category of "Category:Uploaded via Campaign:US-Banknote-Contest" like "Category:Uploaded via Campaign:US-Banknote-Contest by ZLEA". --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 23:25, 3 November 2019 (UTC)
- The content of this theoretical page would then be "[[Category:Uploaded via Campaign:US-Banknote-Contest|((USERNAME))]]" so all usernames would be added alphabetically. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 23:27, 3 November 2019 (UTC)

Just One Image
[edit]I only have one image to contribute. I hope I uploaded and listed it correctly. Perhaps I may have more to add later. Thanks, --Skb8721 (talk) 15:42, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Skb8721: , it looks great. and thank you for uploading this competition's 100th (one-hundredth) image. I have adjusted the categories and because it's a 2D image it is not eligible for new copyright © so I've tagged it with "{{PD-1923}}".
- Again, thank you for the upload. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 16:42, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
Puerto Rico and Colonial banknotes
[edit]I uploaded several pre-United States era Puertorriqueño banknotes and submitted them to this contest, after review I saw here that they were ineligible, does this also apply to banknotes issued before the declaration of independence of the United States of America in 1776? I had previously assumed because Puerto Rico and Hawaii are currently parts of the United States of America that any banknotes issued before the American domination would be seen as "American". --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 20:13, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
Acceptable quality???
[edit]@ZLEA: , Would you consider these images to be too small? Preferably I'd upload better quality images of these banknotes, but I can't find all of the banks depicted here elsewhere, so I am asking you for "a second (2nd) opinion". --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 06:27, 23 November 2019 (UTC)
- Donald Trung Any low quality image is acceptable as long as there is no higher quality image of the banknote already on Commons. - ZLEA T\C 15:57, 26 November 2019 (UTC)
