ROC Kai Fonts

[edit]

Hi, Would just like to note that I tried installing the kai-linux varient on Ubuntu 9.04, but it did not work too great. Font-name comes up as ???????? in applications, and doesn't seem to work. The kai-pc version that is directly linked seems to work perfectly.

Animations

[edit]

Hello, I just wanted to point out that animated gifs can be created solely by using "TheGimp". A brief tutorial can be found at http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Simple_Animations/ . User:87.78.251.156 - 17:08, 12 November 2006

to animated stroke by stroke :

  • 宀、八、言、ㄠ(left)、ㄠ(right), 馬 (the central element first), 長(left), 長(right)、心、月、(刂)、辶(4strokes)。

6 or 16 ?

[edit]

Saw "Reduce the picture palette to black/white 6 colours.", then later "... black/white 16 colours." Should the first be '16' instead of '6'? Shenme (talk) 04:12, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate Categories?

[edit]

Hi. I am a little confused about the Stroke Order Project categories. I found an uncategorized image (file:为-order.gif) that I wanted to place in a category.

Upon doing so, however, I noticed two separate categories: category:Order.gif stroke order images, and category:Chinese stroke order in animated GIF. For now, I put the file in both, but I am wondering why we have two separate categories that seem to cover the same thing. Should these be combined somehow?

I get the impression that category:Order.gif stroke order images is intended to only contain the files that end with "-order.gif", so should this just be a subset of category:Chinese stroke order in animated GIF?

Thanks! :) Pixor (talk) 18:48, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The messing and puzzling guidelines.

[edit]

Just as the title says, to me these guidelines are outdated, a mess and puzzling. And they should be deleted. But I am willing to solve this in a fair way, specifically through a deletion request, because there, it doesn't depend on me, but on a consensus to solve the issue.
I vote delete, for the reasons explained above, but if they are kept or still not deleted, then I will clarify them as much as I can, and discourage its use in favor of the guidelines that I wrote. FanNihongo (talk) 22:52, 3 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
