Correlation

Thank you for working on this! Did you manage to calculate the correlation of file views to page description views? For instance, if (absurdly) we discovered that there is perfect 100 % correlation it would be unnecessary to measure hits to files (but see #Multimedia viewer). :) --Nemo 06:41, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Search engines

Are the hits on search engines expected to be mainly hotlinks on the results pages themselves or actual visits/downloads? I see Google Images transmits thumbnails as data URIs, but presumably it's not been like that forever and they don't do so for all browsers. --Nemo 06:41, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
