[edit]- official website of Saudi Ministry of tourism allowing photos & videos in public places unless there's a sign. I think this doesn't exclude panoramic photos as long as no people are included. https://help.visitsaudi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009471299-Are-there-any-restrictions-on-Photography-in-KSA- --Ashashyou (talk) 17:51, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- You can take photographs for personal use unless there is a notice prohibiting it. Publishing a photograph of a public place for commercial purposes is a different question, and does not seem to be permitted. Aymatth2 (talk) 12:17, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Ashashyou: the freedom of photography is irrelevant here. What matters is that the Saudi Arabian copyright law does not allow commercial photography or free uses of copyrighted architecture and public art. That is the essence of freedom of panorama – the free shooting of works in public spaces still in copyright without the need of licensing permissions from architects or sculptors, something Saudi Arabian copyright law does not provide.
