Comments
[edit]- Images related to Antartic research are overrepresented, the ranking should be readjusted placing in the top runner-ups only a small selection of the most scientifically informative ones.
- In general, there are images showing a clear action where you can see that the person depicted is a scientist and not some generic bystanders or a journalist or anything else. Such images should have a slightly higher rank because they are more suited for an effective outreach or popularization campaign.
- Images with children and young people are not the first choice when a selection of the best 6-7 images is requested. We will try to keep at least one image related to the topic of education or teaching.
- In the images where face can be seen, women seem to be more present than men. Is it a consequence of the recet "women in STEM" sensibility? Do expert photographer focus more on this theme nowadays?
