Wiki Loves Monuments 2019 in Morocco The contest for 2018 goes here
Welcome to the Wikimedia Commons portal for Wiki Loves Monuments 2019 in Morocco!
Wiki Loves Monuments (or WLM) is an annual international photographic competition held during the month of September. It is organized worldwide by the Wikipedia community members with the help of local Wikimedia affiliates across the globe.
Participants take pictures of local historical monuments and heritage sites in their region and upload them to Wikimedia Commons.
The aim of the event is to highlight the heritage sites of the participating countries with the goal to encourage people to capture pictures of these monuments and to upload them under a free licence. These pictures can then be re-used not only in Wikipedia but everywhere by everyone.
Everyone is welcome to get involved, whether as a participant (photographer), volunteer, or both. Please help us by telling your friends and by sharing this news to social media. Hashtag: #WLMMar
Start date: 1st September 2019 (00:01 local time).
End date : 30th September 2019 (23:59 local time).
