Out of the millions of subjects you can read about on Wikipedia, those that relate to Africa have the least coverage. This is due to a number of reasons, but some are linked to the fact that many people do not know that they can have the knowledge of their continent and cultures reflected on Wikipedia by donating their images, videos and audio to Wikimedia. The richness, diversity and beauty of Africa deserves to be visually celebrated on Wikipedia.

<translate>The theme Farm to Plate calls for the submission of media (photos, audio, video) that portrays fields, agricultural practices, farm products, farm machines, people farming, food transformation and processing, cooking, restaurants, dressing on plates, cooking material and the entire process (or a segment of it) that in consists of transforming farm produce into food.</translate>

- Take photos related to the theme Farm to Plate
- Create a free account or log in on Wikimedia Commons.
- Consult our How to Enter page for useful advice on everything relating to the competition.
- Make sure youfollow the rules of the competition(otherwise your image might not be eligible!)
- Upload your photos – from the 1st March 2025 onwards!

Enter images or media must visually capture the theme as it applies to "Africa".
To be considered, entries must be submitted under a free license (read about licenses here).

Selecting the Winners
The winners will not be selected until July 2025. They will be announced in August 2024 at Wikimania.
