Commons:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Individual painting categories
On Commons we have Individual painting categories containing multiple images of the same painting and the category is linked to Wikidata using {{Wikidata infobox}}. These categories are tracked in Category:Individual painting categories. Based on these categories reports like User:Multichill/Same image without Wikidata/Category match are made.
Many individual painting categories don't link to Wikidata yet. This page helps to reduce this number. Beware of multiple versions of the same painting, these should like to different Wikidata items for each version.
The majority of individual painting categories will be under Category:Paintings by museum by country and Category:Paintings by artist. Based on that it's possible to do Petscan queries. These get rather large (by museum & by artist) so these are split up by time period. This way it's also easier to find newly created categories.
Some individual painting categories do have {{Wikidata infobox}}, but are not linked to a painting yet. You can help by working on this list.
