In many countries, UNESCO World Heritage Sites are exposed to major problems and threats: armed conflicts and wars, natural disasters, pollution,
mismanagement and uncontrolled activities. In Asia and the Pacific, armed conflict led 5 World Heritage Sites to the Danger list. The aim of this contest is to document, inform, promote, and raise awareness, through photographies that illustrate these X Sites.
Photographies can range from general views of the sites to specific details, they can showcase architectural and natural elements, existing damages,

Whindanger is a project by Wiki World Heritage, implemented in Asia and the Pacific in collaboration with Scene for Culture and Heritage.
The project aims to promote and raise awareness about UNESCO World Heritage Sites in danger in 34 countries,
through the creation of an interactive website using Wikimedia projects and following a participatory creation process.
The website content will be mainly generated from Wikidata. As to content creation, it is through organizing writing workshops and photography contests
in the target countries.
