Unable to insert uploaded image files.

I cannot use the two image files I uploaded: G_G_Allen_Steam_Plant_from_Lake_Wylie.JPG G_G_Allen_Steam_Plant,_scrubber.JPG

Would like to add these to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G._G._Allen_Steam_Station

Can't seem to persuade the editor to insert these photos into the existing article.

Also was not able to find and tag these with an existing category. "Power plant" and "coal plant" did not exist? Seems damned unlikely.

I'll add your images in. I can't see why you shouldn't have been able to do so yourself. What happened when you tried?

For categories, I suggest you begin by visiting Category:Power plants by type and then drilling down to the most specific applicable category.

Thanks! I must not have used the correct format. I tried cut and paste the URL from the upload complete page on the Wiki Commons Upload Wizard. I should have mimicked the format of an existing photo... Previously, I had managed to successfully upload and insert a photo for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McGuire_Nuclear_Station.

You need to be careful to copy like for like - the rules for an image in an infobox are different to the rules for an image elsewhere. See [1]. Regards, Ben Aveling 11:53, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Categorización y Descripción agrupada (por lotes)

Sería práctico contar con la opción de incluir una o más categorías y descripción a un grupo de archivos que se suban a la vez.

Asi por ejemplo se podría subir todas las fotos que se sacaron en un mismo lugar sin tener que colocar la descripcion y categoria individualmente para cada archivo Jduranboger (talk) 21:45, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Where make translations for licensing tutorial svg file

When using lb as interface language the image file http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/db/Licensing_tutorial_de.svg/720px-Licensing_tutorial_de.svg.png is displayed, unfortunately I did not manage to find out how to proceed in order to get as well an lb-version of this svg-file.

Commons:First steps is a good start. Use .pdf format or other at Commons:File types. w:List of PDF software may have free encoders. Was your version of w:Patiala gharana first published before 1923? La licence "PD-Old-100" n'est pas accessible directement

Bonjour,

Cette licence (ainsi que d'autres) n'est pas accessible avec l'assistant de téléversement en langue française, ce qui est dommage et oblige à retoucher tous les fichiers manuellement, alors que l'intérêt de l'outil est de ne pas aller directement dans le code wiki. Il pourrait aussi être intéressant de pouvoir catégoriser des fichiers similaires de la même façon sans devoir procéder fichier par fichier. De même, il serait bien de pouvoir nommer les fichiers d'une même série de façon similaire, avec insertion automatique d'un numéro croissant à la fin.

L'outil est très ergonomique, mais à part pour l'importation d'un grand nombre de fichiers, pour qui commence à prendre l'habitude, il n'est pas forcément plus profitable que l'ancien (que je trouve personnellement plus pratique pour travailler sur un seul fichier à la fois, surtout quand la licence dont j'ai besoin doit ensuite être insérée manuellement).
