Here is a list of GLAM-Wiki projects and initiatives that use Structured data on Wikimedia Commons, which can be consulted as inspiration.
Please, feel free to add your own projects and examples.
Metropolitan Museum of Art
Case
- Structured data on files from the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) using PetScan and QuickStatements, as well as Python through the METbot.
When?
- 2020 – In progress
What?
- depicts (P180) added to more than 43 thousand files and The Met object ID (P3634) added by to 140 thousand files from the Metropolitan Museum of Art collection.
- Adding structured data statements, as depicts (P180), creator (P170), and inventory number (P217) with the Quickstatements tool, using media ids (MIDs) or M numbers, as well as The Met object ID (P3634) and collection (P195) using the METbot.

What?
- The Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) is providing digital assets from DPLA's contributors to Wikimedia Commons, describing the files with structured data.
- Discussion about the proper Structured data on Commons modeling to be used on DPLA's files.
Who?
- A project by the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) and funded by the Sloan Foundation.
- Led by Dominic Byrd-McDevitt, DPLA Data Fellow, previously mentored by Sandra Fauconnier, Program Officer, GLAM and Structured Data at the Wikimedia Foundation, and currently mentored by Giovanna Fontenelle, Program Officer, GLAM and Culture at the Wikimedia Foundation.

- Under source of file (P7482) is used file available on the internet (Q74228490) and under this QID, the property described at URL (P973) was used to point the file was from a UNESCO Archives URL.

- On audio records, under creator (P170), the property object of statement has role (P3831) was used to point the file was a sound recording process (Q5057302).

- Official pilot project for Structured data on Commons.
- Structured data was added to a set of old, digitized Punjabi books in the Qisse genre.
- This pilot project looked at the potential of re-use of data between various Wikimedia projects: Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikisource, improving the workflow of contribution to these projects.
